Black Turtle Cove

Black Turtle Cove - Santa Cruz Island

This beautiful and tranquil bay is in fact not a landing site, but the ideal spot for a dinghy (panga) exploration.

Your tour guide will likely cut the outboard motor and urge you to be completely silent, to avoid disturbing the wildlife. As we glide across the shallow waters, it will be possible to see turtles, white tipped reef sharks, golden rays, and spotted eagle rays that are usually present.

The winding shoreline is flanked by three different species of mangrove; red, white, and black. Herons and pelicans resting on the trees complete the landscape.
