The tour offered by the Interpretation Center will take you through the history of the Islands, in their natural, human, and conservation contexts. The Natural History Room explains a series of natural phenomena such as the volcanic origin of the islands, their remoteness from the mainland, its marine currents, their special climate, and the arrival and evolution of different species, among others.
The Human History Room chronicles the most significant events related to the discovery and colonization of the Galapagos. The second stage showcases the reality of the Galapagos today: the conservation issues facing the islands and the tireless work of individuals and institutions to preserve this unique ecosystem.
The Center also has an outdoor theater and a screening room.
